On YouNow itself — no. YouNow does not keep public broadcast archives; once you tap end, the stream is gone from the app and from your viewers' feeds. On LiveStreamRecorder — yes, because we capture the Live as it airs and serve it back at a permanent URL that doesn't depend on YouNow's app retaining anything.

Recordings include the full broadcast — every minute the camera was on, exactly as it aired. YouNow's in-app Moments are auto-generated short clips from the original broadcast, so they're already part of what we capture. Props transactions are an in-app overlay, not part of the video feed; what you'll see is the broadcaster reacting on camera when props come in.

No. Every recording plays in any browser without a YouNow login, a coin balance, or the YouNow app installed. The recording is served directly from our CDN, not from YouNow.

Browser screen recorders technically capture YouNow Lives, but they require leaving the YouNow tab open the whole time and stop the moment your phone locks, your laptop sleeps, or your Wi-Fi drops. LiveStreamRecorder runs in the cloud — capture continues whether your device is on or off, and the saved file is exactly the broadcast quality, not your display resolution.

Recordings we captured before the change remain in the archive at their existing URLs. We don't retroactively remove broadcasts when a creator's YouNow status changes. DMCA and direct creator takedown requests are handled the same way as for every other platform.

Recordings stream via HLS for fast playback in any browser, and premium users can download the full broadcast as a single MP4 for offline viewing or re-uploading to YouTube / Vimeo / wherever you want it to live next.

The video portion of the broadcast is preserved, including anything the broadcaster reads aloud or reacts to on camera. YouNow's live chat is a separate real-time feed and isn't replayed alongside the recording — but most YouNow broadcasts are conversational enough that the gist of the chat comes through in the broadcaster's reactions.

LiveStreamRecorder enforces the same content policies as for every other platform: no adult content, no minors, no rights violations. Recordings flagged under our policy or YouNow's published policy are removed when reported through our DMCA / takedown channel.
