It's been quiet here on the announcements page — but far from quiet behind the scenes. The last few weeks went into the kind of work you don't always see: making everything faster, keeping your recordings longer, and personally answering every single email that reached me. Here's what changed.
I rebuilt everything on a brand-new dedicated server — 4× the processing power and 6× the memory of the old one. The previous machine was constantly maxed out, and that's exactly what made pages feel slow and videos take a moment to start.
I've doubled how long your streams stay available — from 30 days to 60. Every new recording from now on stays available for a full two months.
Beyond the big move, I spent the month smoothing rough edges: quicker-loading dashboards, translation fixes across every language, and a steady stream of bug fixes — most of them straight from what you reported to me.
I answer every message personally. If you wrote to me, you got a real reply — from me. Your reports and requests genuinely shape what I build next.
None of this happens without you. As long as you keep supporting the platform, I'll keep improving it — faster, more reliable, and more useful, month after month.

A few meaningful upgrades landed this week. Here's what changed and why.
Every recording can now have a proper title and short summary instead of username's stream from May 24.
Saving a video for later used to mean clicking each one individually when you came back to it.
Watch Later now opens an inline player that plays through your saved list without leaving the page. The queue stays visible, you can jump between videos, and empty saved-lists get a proper empty state instead of a blank screen. 📺
A new Shorts row on the dashboard surfaces trending and recent clips, so you can catch the best moments without digging through full streams. 🔥
Each clip now shows how many times it's been watched and downloaded. The numbers update in real time and feed the trending ranking on the Shorts row.
A report option was added to the clip menu too, so the community can flag issues — same flow as on recordings. 🚩

I wanted to take a moment, away from updates and announcements, to just say thank you.
For the last 6 months, I've been working on this platform no less than 12 hours a day. Some days have been incredible, others have tested me in ways I didn't expect. But every single one of you who joined, stayed, gave feedback, or simply showed up has been part of why I kept going.
To our premium members, I owe you something honest: without you, this platform would not exist today. I won't bore you with the technical side, but please know that every premium subscription is what keeps the lights on, the servers running, and the doors open for everyone else.

The past week has been one of our busiest yet — we shipped a brand new platform, a dedicated mobile app, a bunch of UX upgrades, and did some serious work under the hood to make the whole site faster. Here's everything we rolled out:
LiveStreamRecorder is now available as a proper Android app. Install it from the Play Store and enjoy a full-screen, app-like experience with no browser bars getting in the way. You can also grab it directly from the Get it on Google Play badge on your dashboard.
Tango joins our growing roster of supported platforms. If you stream on Tango, you can now save every livestream automatically — each time you go live we keep a copy for you, so nothing is lost when the stream ends.
Starred a creator you don't want to miss? Your favorites now get their own dedicated section at the top of the dashboard, so their latest recordings are always one glance away.
The Explore page now has a clean switch labelled Exclude my creators. Flip it on when you want to discover new streamers who aren't already on your list — flip it off to browse everything.
Videos you've played now show a watched indicator on their thumbnails, so it's easy to tell which recordings you've already seen and which ones are fresh.
When you're watching a recording, you now see the full list of videos from the same creator alongside the player. Jump to the next (or previous) stream without leaving the page.
The public creators directory got a visual refresh — cleaner cards, better spacing, and it scales nicely from mobile up to wide desktop screens.
Not all the work was visible, but a lot of it will feel visible.

We've been busy the past two weeks making LiveStreamRecorder better for you. Here's what's new:
We're now available at livestreamrecorder.net and livestreamrecorder.org — bookmark these as backups in case the main site is ever slow.
You can now download individual parts of a recording directly — no more waiting for an email with the merged video. Check the download menu on any recording.
Filter recordings by short, medium, or long on the Explore and Following pages.
Filter the Live page by platform — TikTok, Kick, Twitch, YouTube, and more.
Creator profiles got a fresh look with gradient backgrounds and a cleaner layout.
You can now publish your clips directly to YouTube from the clip editor!
Videos now load through our global CDN for faster playback worldwide.
We've permanently fixed the gray screen and corruption issues on TikTok recordings. All TikTok streams now come with two quality options:

We fixed corrupted/gray frames in TikTok recordings.
Videos now start playing faster. We reduced the chunk size, so the player only needs to download a small initial piece before playback begins.
You can now skip forward and backward 30 seconds in the video player using the new dedicated buttons.
Clicking a video to watch no longer causes the page behind the modal to reload images or fetch new recordings unnecessarily. Much less data usage and faster experience.
Video durations now show correctly on creator cards in the Discover page (previously missing).

I wanted to give you a quick update on what's been happening behind the scenes.
I know some of you have noticed that certain streamers aren't always getting recorded. I'm aware of this and actively working on improving detection. The Insights feature now lets you compare live activity with actual recordings, which helps me identify and fix gaps faster.
This is a solo project, and I'm putting in 15+ hours a day to keep everything running and improving. Growing from a small service to handling 100K streamers across many platforms comes with challenges, but I'm committed to making it as reliable as possible.

The storage provider is currently experiencing issues, which may be affecting recordings. Some recordings from the past few hours may be incomplete or missing.
I'm keeping an eye on it and things should be back to normal once they resolve it on their end. Unfortunately, any recordings affected during this time may not be recoverable.

We've added new ways to sign in to Live Stream Recorder — faster and easier than ever.
You can now sign in or create an account using your Google account. Just click "Continue with Google" on the login or signup page. No need to remember another password — one click and you're in.
TikTok creators can now log in directly with their TikTok account. This also makes it easier to connect your TikTok for sharing clips directly to the platform.
We're currently waiting for Facebook to approve our app. Once approved, you'll be able to sign in with your Facebook account as well.
If you already have an account with email and password, nothing changes — you can keep logging in the same way. You can also link your Google or TikTok account from your settings page for quicker access next time.
